Ice Skating At PPG Place

This holiday season, make sure you stop by Market Square and go ice skating by the tree! From November 19th through February 27th, the Plaza between Third Avenue and Fourth Avenue in Market Square transforms into The UPMC Rink at PPG Place, a spectacular one-of-a-kind outdoor ice skating rink.

Admission is $11-12 for adults and $10-$11 for children. You can bring your own skates or rent them for $5-6. You can purchase tickets in person or online by clicking here.

 

The Holiday Market In Market Square

When you’re done skating, head over to the Peoples Gas Holiday Market in Market Square. Whether you are a local or a visitor, this outdoor shopping experience is one you won’t want to miss! Enjoy the sparkling lights and festive decor or shop for the perfect gifts from the handful of vendors and small businesses participating.  

The Peoples Gas Holiday Market is open from November 19th through December 23rd. There’s plenty of time to experience this one-of-a-kind shopping experience full of high-quality and locally created gifts.

The holiday season is’t complete without a visit to Phipps Conservatory! The Winter Flower Show & Light Garden has dazzling displays of holiday trees, beautiful floral delights, tunnels of lights and an all-new ice castle display. Perfect for your next Instagram photo!

Kennywood Holiday Lights

Make your season sparkle at Kennywood’s Holiday Lights! 

Take a stroll among more than 1 million twinkling lights and marvel at the tallest Christmas tree in Pennsylvania. Savor the flavors of new festive foods and holiday drinks. Plus, there are rides for the kids and special entertainment for all.

The Nutcracker With The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre

If you are sick of the cold and want to spend some time celebrating indoors, consider purchasing tickets to see The Nutcracker at The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. This Steel City  holiday tradition is perfect for the whole family!
